- Implementation Strategy

The “Colors of Hope” event component is designed to engage children in a creative and educational activity that raises awareness about gender-based violence (GBV). Through painting and storytelling, children will depict their understanding of gender-based violence and its impact on their lives. This process aims to foster empathy, promote a culture of respect and equality, and amplify children’s voices in the conversation on social change. The exhibition forms part of the greater Kwa Kgotleng ICNM Series 1, which emphasizes cultural celebration and community-driven advocacy.

- Educate: Increase children's understanding of gender-based violence and its consequences
- Empower: Encourage children to express their feelings and perspectives through art
- Promote Awareness: Use children's artwork to spark conversations and raise awareness in the broader community
- Engage: Foster a sense of community and responsibility among the youth and their families
Art Exhibition :
An age-appropriate explanation of GBV, its forms, and its impact through supervised live painting sessions. This allows children to express their experiences and hopes through visual art and display their artwork to raise awareness and promote community dialogue around gender-based violence issues.

- Venue: Hosted in a child-friendly environment at the Botswana National Museum – Kgotla Area.
- Partnerships: In collaboration with BGBVC Technical Team, local schools, Mr. Wilson Ngoni (artist coordinator), and community-based groups to ensure broad participation.
- Media Outreach: Use of local radio station and social media to promote the event and share highlights with the wider public.
