KWA KGOTLENG INTERNATIONAL CULTURE NIGHT MARKET (ICNM)
Event Overview
The international cultural event, Kwa Kgotleng “Where Voices Unite, Communities Thrive,” aims to raise awareness and support for gender-based violence issues. Hosted at the National Museum, this event will bring together diverse communities, artists, activists, and policymakers to foster dialogue, promote understanding, and inspire action against gender-based violence.
Kwa Kgotleng (ICNM) Series 1 is a celebration of cultural diversity rooted in community dialogue and inclusivity. Inspired by the traditional Kgotla system, this event aims to foster social impact, cultural exchange, and business collaboration while addressing pressing social issues such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
By uniting diverse communities, private sector and NGOs, the event seeks to create a platform for meaningful dialogue and investment in our communities, emphasizing the power of collective action.
In Setswana culture, the Kgotla serves as both a physical meeting place and a platform for inclusive dialogue and governance. The core values of peaceful coexistence, democracy, and equality are deeply embedded in the Kgotla system.
